Independent product / Experimental build
Building a repeatable local video workflow.
Video Factory is a local video-production prototype connecting scripts, narration, visual selection, captions, editing and rendering.
The work explores how these stages can operate as one manageable process, with enough visibility to review the output and enough control to improve individual parts. My role centres on defining the workflow, identifying problems in real outputs and directing technical iteration.
I shaped the requirements across narration, media selection, timeline assembly and delivery, looking at how decisions in one stage affect the next.
I directed work connecting local speech providers and media-processing tools with the application, with clear review points.
I drove changes around preserving accepted work, recovering interrupted jobs and making editorial decisions repeatable.
Saved timeline revisions retain selected cuts and framing so previews and full-resolution renders can use the same decisions.
A reviewable narration draft has an explicit status. Acceptance is a separate step before final assembly.
Saved takes, project state and retry information support targeted recovery and reduce unnecessary regeneration.
Output records and media checks connect an export with the revision and files that produced it.
The codebase includes implemented media, review and recovery paths. The latest narration workflow still requires a complete local run and listening review. End-to-end output quality remains under validation.
The workflow graphic on this page illustrates the process. It is not an application screenshot or a rendered video sample.
